India Pakistan War: India has been on high alert as Pakistan attempted to attack various cities in the country. India's capital New Delhi has been put on high alert and the India Gate area has been completely evacuated for security reasons. The country has also seen blackout in major areas bordering Pakistan, around LoC as it has been shelling constantly in the boder areas. A complete blackout has been enforced after siren sound he Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi and many areas.
A complete blackout was ordered in Poonch, Udhampur, Samba with sirens heard, Akhnoor along with sirens, Kishtwar with sirens J&K, in Jodhpur in Rajasthan, Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Chandigarh in Punjab, and Kutcch in Gujarat and many other areas. Explosions were heard as Indian air defence intercepts Pakistani drones in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir.
Along with this, in many cities explosions were also heard as the sky lit up.
Pakistan has been shelling and targetting civilian areas in Indian side of the boder and has launched multiple drone attack in Jammu. It has targeted civilian areas in Uri sector. Pakistan has also violated ceasefire in Uri, Kupwara, Tangdhar, and Karnah sectors. Pakistan has also targeted Jammu with loitering munitions as Indian Air Defence guns fire back. Pakistan has been using Hamas-style missiles to target multiple areas in Jammu. According to Defence sources, Pakistan launched 8 missiles at Satwari, Samba, RS Pura and Arnia sector, All intercepted by Indian Air Defence units.
In retaliation to Pakistan's military escalation, India has also attacked many areas in Pakistan, including Pakistan occupied Kashmir and capital Islamabad.Shahbaz Sharif has been reportedly hid inside a bunker. Pakistan Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir has reportedly been taken into custody. Sources within Pakistan Army indicate that General Shahir Shamshad Mirza may take Munir's place.
India has intercepted more than 50 drones and counter attacked Pakistan's missiles. India has activated its powerful defence missile system, the Russian S-400 and shot down various jets from Pakistan. A Pakistani Air Force jet was shot down in the Pathankot sector by Indian air defence. India's Air Defence Units intercepted eight missiles from Pakistan directed at Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, Arnia. Pakistani drones werre also intercepted by Indian air defence in Jaisalmer. Explosions were heard, and flashes in the sky seen.
On Pakistan drones and missiles intercepted in different parts of our border states, former J&K DGP SP Vaid says, "Today evening after 8:20 pm, we have witnessed around 50-60 air attacks over Jammu, Udhampur, Rajouri, Pathankot, Samba, and Akhnoor. All these attacks have been neutralised and made ineffective. Compliments to the impregnable air defence system... There is no report of any damage despite such a massive attack by Pakistan. It appears to be a full-fledged war by Pakistan and a befitting reply needs to be given by our three services. Pakistan's days are numbered... Pakistan will soon be divided into five parts..."
On the other hand, blasts were reported near Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir's houses, according to reports. Indian Army has destroyed many military camps in Pakistan. Lahore and Sialkot plunged into complete darkness as blackouts gripped the cities. Two Pakistani drones were also shot down by Indian Army Air Defence Units in Naushera sector of J-K. Heavy exchange of artillery fire on between the two sides in the sector, Defence sources said, ANI reported
India successfully knocked down five of Pakistani fighter jets and thwarted 56 drone attacks directed at India's bordering regions. Sirens have sounded in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) and at least twenty places have come under Indian attacks. India also captured a Pakistan' F-16 pilot in Jammu's Akhnoor amid escalating tension with Pakistan. The pilot was taken into custody after his fighter plane was shot down and fell in the Akhnoor area of Jammu and Kashmir. Major fire erupts in Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi and Islamabad as India retaliates Pakistan's drone attacks in various states in India including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan. Fire has erupted in at least 16 places in Islamabad.
INS Vikrant, stationed in the Arabian Sea, has begun targeting Karachi, unleashing significant devastation. The Navy’s attack has caused massive fires across the city, including the port of Karachi.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has closed its airspace for all commercial flights in three major cities, Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. This sudden decision was made after India took military actions in response to rising tensions between the two countries.
